Nobel Prize committee presented the Nobel Physics Prize 2018 award to one half to Arthur Ashkin and the other half jointly to Gérard Mourou and Donna Strickland.
They received this prestigious award for their discovery for groundbreaking inventions in the field of laser physics.

Russia goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev has announced his retirement from international football. The 32-year-old Igor Akinfeev played for CSKA Moscow club.
Akinfeev earned 112 caps for his country since his debut in 2004 as an 18-year-old. Igor Akinfeev lead the Russian football team as captain at the World Cup 2018.
