Asian Games 2018: Dutee Chand wins silver in women's 100m race

India’s athlete Dutee Chand wins silver medal in women's 100m race at the 18th edition of the Asian Games 2018 in Jakarta.

Dutee Chand clocked 11.32 seconds to win the silver medal in the podium.
 
Bahrain’s Odiong Edidiong won the gold medal in 11.30 seconds. China’s Wei Yongli won the bronze medal in 11.33 seconds.


India won the last medal in this event was the bronze won by Rachita Mistry in 1998 Asian Games.
 
Earlier, Hima Das and Muhammed Anas won silver in 400m women's and men's event respectively.
